statement of aims
The 'Theory from the Margins' collective deep-reads on current scholarship on postcolonial theory, the decolonial turn, and theory building from the Global South. The collective reads works from marginalised communities in the global North and South and/or critical interventions based on in-depth studies of marginalised groups. Theory from the Margins is primarily interested in the contemporary global academes’ engagement with what we understand to be ‘theory’. The collective meets once a month over a recently published text and we invite the author to join us for a conversation on the critical intervention of her work. We request all participants to read the text carefully. Please contact us at admin [at] theoryfromthemargins [dot] com if you have any questions.
